I like a book that connects with me somehow, in that 'awww' kind of way like when something nice happens and you hunch up your shoulders and smile. (maybe that's just me). It's fantastic to be able to engage with the story and be completely immersed in the characters and plot. A tall order for the author, but magic when it happens.
